The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists traveling southbound, between the Mahoning Valley Interchange (Exit #74) and the Lehigh Tunnel, to be prepared for right-lane closures on Tuesday, May 12 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. while construction crews perform deck repairs on the existing Lehigh River and PohopocoCreek Bridges.

The roadway maintenance will be southbound between mileposts A75 and A73.

Wednesday, May 13 from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. and Thursday, May 14 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. motorists traveling northbound should be prepared for single lane closures while the contractor makes modifications to the temporary concrete barrier and paints traffic lines northbound between mileposts A73 and A75.

Motorists are urged to stay alert for slow moving construction vehicles, stopped traffic, and lane closures. Posted speed limits will be enforced and fines doubled.
