TRAFFIC ADVISORY Penn Township, Westmoreland County PART OF TRAFFORD

On Monday, May 11, at 7 a.m., the stretch of Trafford Road/Murrysville Road (SR 4033) that crosses over the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Penn Township, Westmoreland County will close to traffic to allow bridge repair work to take place. The contractor, Gregori Construction and Engineering, Sarver, Pa. will be removing the existing deck and replacing it with a new bridge deck. Also, the steel superstructure will be raised, repaired and painted. The construction is scheduled for completion this fall. Traffic normally using this section of Trafford Road (which turns into Murrysville Road at the southern end of the project) will be detoured around the construction site via Murrysville Road, SR 130 (Harrison City Road), SR 48, SR 22 (William Penn Highway) and back onto Trafford Road. Signage will be posted along the detour route. Average daily traffic on the bridge is 2,933 vehicles. |
