Motorists on the Pennsylvania Turnpikes east-west mainline will encounter eastbound and westbound single-lane patterns between milepost 69 and 71 eastbound, and westbound from milepost 71 to 69. Weather permitting, single-lane patterns will be in effect for a 48-hour period starting at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 27 until 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 29.

The restriction is needed as part of the total reconstruction project of the mainline between mileposts 67 to 75. The contractor, New Enterprise, will be performing temporary median upgrades for a future traffic-pattern shift.

Motorist should be aware of the potential for delays during the afternoon hours on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29.
