TRAFFIC ADVISORY North and South Union Townships, Fayette County Mon/Fayette Work Necessitates Single-Lane Closure on Route 119 For Eight Months Starting March 2. |

UNIONTOWN, PA (02/25/2009; 1546)(readMedia) -- Construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway Uniontown to Brownsville Project will require single-lane closures, northbound and southbound on Route 119 from Route 40 to the Gallatin Avenue Interchange. The closures will begin Monday, March 2, and will be in effect until Friday, Nov. 13. The general contractor, Walsh Construction, will close the lanes for bridge-pier construction and structural-steel erection over Route 119 and for roadway widening and reconstruction of the Northbound and Southbound Route 119 Bridges over Redstone Creek. This work is part of Phase 2 construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway between Uniontown and Brownsville. Traffic will be placed into a single lane in each direction, and minor delays are possible.
