TUESDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2008

Continued construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway- Uniontown to Brownsville Phase 2 project will require the contractor, Trumbull Corp. to switch all traffic on Route 43/Route 88 onto the northbound lanes for approximately 1.5 miles into a single lane pattern in each direction. Traffic will also be restricted to one lane in each direction on Route 40 in the vicinity of the interchange with Route 43. Traffic will use temporary ramps to access Routes 40, 43 and 88. This traffic restriction will begin in the morning on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008. The restrictions will remain in effect until early 2010.

The area roads affected will be Route 43/Route 88 from the California Interchange to Nobles Road and Route 40 from Malden Road to ½-mile east of Route 43. Signage will be placed around the area alerting motorists to the restrictions and new traffic patterns.
