Construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway- Uniontown to Brownsville Connector will require the closure of a portion of Old National Pike (SR 2048) in Centerville Borough, Washington County for approximately three years. The Project Construction Manager, Trumbull Corp. will close Old National Pike at the S.R. 88 overpass near the Centerville Borough building on Jan. 5, 2009. The road will remain closed for the duration of the project with a scheduled completion date of October 2011. The 1/10 mile closure is required for the reconstruction of the S.R. 88 overhead bridges as part of the Phase 2 construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway between Uniontown and Brownsville. The Old National Pike detour route will be 4 miles in length via S.R.40, S.R. 88, Blaine Avenue, and Main Street. Turn-a-rounds will be located at the Old National Pike closure.
