TRAFFIC ADVISORY

SEANOR CHURCH ROAD TO CLOSE AS OF MONDAY MORNING WHERE IT CROSSES UNDER TURNPIKE, FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR, AS PART OF REALIGNMENT PROJECT

Seanor Church Road (State Route 3075) will close early Monday morning, Oct. 27 where it crosses under the Pennsylvania Turnpike, for approximately one year, while a new overhead bridge is built to carry it over what eventually will be a realigned and widened 1.7-mile stretch of Interstate 76 between the Irwin and New Stanton interchanges.

Traffic normally using Seanor Church Road to cross from the north to the south side of the Turnpike will be detoured around the construction site via Arona Road (SR 3071), Madison Road (SR 3016), Waltz Mill Road (SR 3037) and Huntingdon Road (SR 3014).

The detour is reversed for traffic moving from the south side to the north side of the Turnpike.

Average daily traffic passing under I-76 via Seanor Church Road is less than 300 vehicles.

Elimination of the Seanor Church Road underpass and construction of a new concrete overpass is part of an ongoing $23.5 million project to realign and straighten the Interstate 76 mainline between Milepost 70.4 and Milepost 72.1.

Work began in June. Mashuda Corporation of Cranberry Township, Butler County, is the general contractor.
