TRAFFIC ADVISORY

E-ZPASS EXPRESS LANES TO CLOSE SATURDAY MORNING FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, SHOULD REOPEN BY 4 PM

Both the eastbound and westbound E-ZPass Express lanes at the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s mainline toll facility at Warrendale (Milepost 31) will be closed for a time on Saturday, Nov. 6 for routine maintenance.

Technicians will be checking the camera equipment at the site and the system that receives and processes signals sent out by the transponders used by the Turnpike’s E-ZPass customers.

The E-ZPass Express lanes will close at 8 am. It is expected that they will be reopened no later than 4 pm. Turnpike maintenance crews and Troop T state police will be on hand to assist in traffic control.

E-ZPass customers will have to use designated E-ZPass lanes in the regular fare collection areas on either side of the facility’s open middle area, where the express lanes are located, until the E-ZPass Express lanes are reopened.

The Warrendale mainline toll plaza opened on June 1, 2003, at the border of Marshall and Pine townships in Allegheny County. E-ZPass Express lanes were opened at Warrendale in June 2004.
