TRAFFIC ADVISORY

CONTINUOUS SINGLE-LANE PATTERN SCHEDULED FOR EASTBOUND TRAFFIC BETWEEN SOMERSET AND BEDFORD



A single-lane pattern for eastbound traffic on a four-mile stretch of the Interstate 76/I-70 mainline in Somerset County is slated to be in effect for a 72-hour period starting at 6 am Monday, July 19.

Eastbound traffic will be restricted to one lane between Milepost 118 and Milepost 122, weather permitting. The single-lane pattern is to be lifted by 6 am Thursday, July 22.

Backlogs are anticipated, especially during afternoon and evening hours. Turnpike trav elers should be prepared for delays.

Message boards along the Turnpike and Highway Advisory Radio broadcasts are being utilized to alert motorists of the restrictions.

Westbound traffic will not be affected.

Work necessitating the single-lane pattern is part of the ongoing total reconstruction of the Turnpike between Milepost 109 and Milepost 122.
