SINGLE-LANE PATTERN FOR EASTBOUND TRAFFIC SCHEDULED FOR TURNPIKE IN DONEGAL AREA

Eastbound traffic on a five-mile stretch of Interstate 76/70 in the Donegal area will be restricted to one lane for a period of about three and a half days, starting Sunday night, so that crews can relocate barriers and perform other work associated with a traffic stage switch on the Turnpike's Total Reconstruction Project between Mileposts 85 and 94. The single-lane pattern for eastbound traffic is to be implemented at 8 pm Sunday, Nov. 9, and is to remain in effect until noon Thursday, Nov. 13, weather permitting. The area of the single-lane pattern is from Milepost 89.2 (approximately 1.5 miles west of the Donegal interchange) to Milepost 94. Westbound traffic on this area of the Turnpike will not be affected. Message boards and Highway Advisory Radio broadcasts will be utilized to advise motorists of the set-up. Traffic is likely to slow considerably at high-volume periods, especially during late afternoon and early evening hours. Motorists are urged to use caution in traversing the area.
