SINGLE LANE WESTBOUND, PERIODIC STOPPAGES ON RAMPS SCHEDULED LATE TONIGHT AND OVERNIGHT AT DONEGAL INTERCHANGE Restrictions affecting westbound traffic only will be in effect late tonight and into Wednesday morning at the Donegal interchange (Exit 91) on Interstate 76/70 in southeastern Westmoreland County. Westbound traffic on the Turnpike mainline will be reduced to one lane starting at 10 pm. The single-lane restriction will be lifted by daybreak Wednesday, Aug. 27. In addition, traffic on the westbound on and off ramps at the Donegal interchange will be stopped periodically between 11 pm Tuesday and 10 am Wednesday. Each intermittent stoppage should not exceed 15 minutes in duration. These restrictions on the mainline and the westbound on and off ramps at Donegal are necessary so that crews can erect steel beams for a new bridge. The bridge being replaced at the Donegal interchange carries mainline Turnpike traffic over the westbound on and off ramps. The work at the interchange is part of a $66.8 million total reconstruction project between Milepost 85 and Milepost 94.
