HARRISBURG, PA  -- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced today the following lane restriction in Somerset County:

A continuous single lane will be in effect Westbound from milepost 120 to 115, beginning 7 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 13 until noon, Friday, Nov. 15, 2002 for the resetting of temporary concrete barrier and other work associated with the next construction stage for the Turnpike’s Somerset Total Reconstruction Project.

The single lane eastbound pattern in this area, which began Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, at 6 a.m., will remain in effect until noon, Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002.

Customers are urged to remain alert and drive cautiously in this area.  

For up-to-date information, the Turnpike advises approaching motorists to tune car radios to 1640AM or 1610AM when alerted by variable message boards. In addition, real-time traffic conditions are posted on the Turnpike website, www.paturnpike.com. Project-specific information is available by clicking on the “construction/expansion” button and selecting “Somerset Reconstruction.” Four real-time traffic cams can be viewed under “Visual Traffic Report.” In addition, a toll-free project hotline is now open at 1-866-822-6215.
