TRAVEL ADVISORY: Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that PENNDOT’s, Route 309 widening project, adjacent to the Turnpike’s Fort Washington Interchange (Exit #26/338), begins Monday, November 5 and is slated for completion fall 2003. The first stage of PENNDOT’s construction will impact Turnpike traffic. There will be single lane patterns, westbound only, between the Mid-County Interchange (Exit # 25/20) and the Willow Grove Interchange (Exit 27/342) beginning Monday, November 5 through Friday, November 9 from 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily. Construction crews will be setting barrier and milling and paving the roadway. VARIABLE MESSAGE SIGNS WITH UPDATES ON THE ROUTE 309 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ARE POSTED ON THE TURNPIKE.
