TRAFFIC ADVISORY:
Nighttime Traffic Stoppages Planned on Turnpike at Somerset

HARRISBURG, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced today that traffic stoppages lasting approximately 30 minutes each will occur as follows:

DATES (weather permitting):

·        Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 p.m. to Sunday at 6 a.m.

·        Monday, Oct. 1 from 10 p.m. to Tuesday at 6 a.m.

·        Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 10 p.m. to Wednesday at 6 a.m.

·        Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 10 p.m. to Thursday at 6 a.m.

TIME:       

Intermittent traffic stoppages of 30 minutes duration each during times and dates above.

LOCATION:       

Milepost 114.55 between the Somerset Interchange (#10) and Bedford Interchange (#11) in Somerset County.

LANES CLOSED:       

All lanes, eastbound and westbound, during stoppages.

TRAFFIC DELAY:         

During stoppages.

PROJECT:

The traffic stoppages are to place steel girders at an overhead bridge at Milepost 114.55.

 
MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION IN THIS AREA, AND REMEMBER TO GIVE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE HIGHWAY WORKERS A "BRAKE."
