TRAFFIC ADVISORY:
Ginger Hill Road to Close Monday Near PA Route 88 
for Approximately Six Weeks Due to Ongoing Construction of Mon/Fayette Expressway

Starting Monday, November 13 and continuing for approximately six weeks, a short stretch of Ginger Hill Road (State Route 1087) in Union Township, Washington County will be closed due to ongoing construction of the Mon/Fayette Expressway.

Ginger Hill Road will be closed between Pa. Route 88 and Little Mingo Road (SR 1016) so that steel girders can be erected for the dual bridges that will carry the expressway over Route 88, Mingo Creek and a Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad trestle near Ringgold High School.

A detour utilizing Route 88 and Pa. Route 136 will be posted.

The dual bridges are part of the 17-mile Mon/Fayette Expressway Project that will extend north from Interstate 70 in Fallowfield Township, Washington County to Pa. Route 51 in Jefferson Hills Borough, Allegheny County.
