TRAVEL ADVISORY:
Lane Closures and Traffic Stoppages Between the 
Fort Washington and Willow Grove Interchanges

Philadelphia, PA -- The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that beginning Monday, October 16 through Thursday, October 19, there will be single and double lane closures and traffic stoppages between the Fort Washington (Exit #26) and Willow Grove Interchanges (Exit #27) due to the erection of new sign structures between mileposts 339-340.

MONDAY, OCTOBER 16 EASTBOUND ONLY: There will be two lanes open to traffic from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and only one lane open to traffic from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17 WESTBOUND ONLY: There will be two lanes open to traffic from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and only one lane open to traffic from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 18 EASTBOUND ONLY: There will be two lanes open to traffic from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and only one lane open to traffic from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19 EASTBOUND ONLY: There will be two lanes open to traffic from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and only one lane open to traffic from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m.

THERE WILL BE 15-MINUTE TRAFFIC STOPPAGES BOTH EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND ACROSS ALL LANES AT MIDNIGHT AND 2 A.M.

There are Variable Message Signs posted in the immediate area to alert motorists of the closures and stoppages. MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO DRIVE WITH EXTREME CAUTION WHEN APPROACHING THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. WATCH FOR WORK CREWS AND PENNSYLVANIA STATE TROOPERS DIRECTING STOPPAGES AND MONITORING TRAFFIC.
