TRAVEL ADVISORY:
SINGLE LANE CLOSURES BETWEEN 
MAHONING VALLEY AND POCONO INTERCHANGES

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that beginning Wednesday, August 16 through Friday, October 27, there will be variable single lane patterns on the Turnpike’s Northeastern Extension between the Mahoning Valley Interchange (Exit #34) and the Pocono Interchange (Exit #35) due to the painting of bridges located at mileposts A-57, A-63, and A-66).

MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, there will be single lane patterns SOUTHBOUND from midnight through 7 a.m.; 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. through midnight. NORTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in place, from midnight through 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. through midnight.

FRIDAY, single lane patterns SOUTHBOUND will be in effect midnight through 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight. NORTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in place midnight to 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. to midnight.

SATURDAY, single lane patterns NORTHBOUND will be in effect midnight to 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to midnight. SOUTHBOUND, two lanes will be open throughout the entire day.

SUNDAY, single lane patterns SOUTHBOUND will be in effect midnight through 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. to midnight. NORTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in place, midnight through noon, and 2 p.m. to midnight.

MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, SOUTHBOUND, traffic will be limited to one lane throughout the entire day. NORTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in place EXCEPT from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

FRIDAY, SOUTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in place from midnight through 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight, NORTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in effect midnight through 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. to midnight.

SATURDAY, SOUTHBOUND, single lane patterns will be in place throughout the entire day; NORTHBOUND single lane patterns will be in effect EXCEPT from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

SUNDAY, SOUTHBOUND, the single lane pattern will be lifted from noon to 8 p.m. NORTHBOUND, a single lane pattern will be in place through the entire day.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL LANES WILL BE OPEN THROUGH THE LABOR DAY HOLIDAY WEEKEND.

MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN APPROACHING AND DRIVING THROUGH WORK AREAS.
