TRAVEL ADVISORY:
SINGLE LANE CLOSURES ON TURNPIKE’S SCHUYLKILL RIVER BRIDGE

Project Will Be Completed in May

Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that beginning Wednesday, April 26, through Friday, April 28, to expect varying single lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily, on the Schuylkill River Bridge, between milepost 330 to 332 (both eastbound and westbound). Officials said that the temporary traffic patterns, in effect for the past year, because of the bridge’s reconstruction, are being moved to a new and permanent configuration. The bridge project, now in its final phase is expected to be complete by mid-May.

Additionally, beginning Monday, May 1 through mid-May, as the project nears completion, construction crews will mill and resurface the roadway both eastbound and westbound.

MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN DRIVING THROUGH THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
