TRAFFIC STOPPAGES NEAR PITTSBURGH INTERCHANGE (EXIT 6)
ON STATE ROUTES 22 AND 376 IN MONROEVILLE, ALLEGHENY COUNTY

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is alerting motorists that both east and westbound lanes of SR 22 and the eastbound ramp of SR 376 to Murrysville will be subject to intermittent traffic stoppages beginning Saturday, September 11 at midnight continuing through Sunday, September 12 at noon.

Weather permitting, the stoppages will last no longer than 15 minutes each in duration. Turnpike traffic should not be affected by the stoppages. These traffic stoppages are necessary for the erection of steel girders for the Ramp Bridge carrying traffic from the Pittsburgh Interchange to SR 22 and SR 376 westbound. The Ramp Bridge crosses over both 22 and the 376 eastbound ramp to Murrysville.

Variable message boards have been posted warning travelers of delays. In addition, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission alerts all motorists travelling near the Monroeville area, in the vicinity of the Pittsburgh Interchange, and those motorists exiting the Turnpike at this location during this period, to expect delays and to take needed precautions in their travels. Motorists are also urged to use caution in this and all construction areas.
