TRAVEL ADVISORY:
SHIFTING TRAFFIC LANES AND STOPPAGES
WEST OF READING INTERCHANGE

Philadelphia, PA -- The Pennsylvania Turnpike is advising motorists that beginning Thursday, June 17 through Thursday, June 24, there will be single lane traffic patterns and 15-minute stoppages both east and westbound, just west of the Reading Interchange (Exit #21) because of bridge rehabilitation and widening. Throughout the week, crews will shift median barrier in order to create new traffic patterns. The $11 million re-decking, rehabilitation and bridge widening project between mileposts 282 and 284 began last July and is scheduled for completion May 2000.

MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO STAY ALERT
AND BE AWARE OF CHANGING PATTERNS, AS WELL AS PERIODIC STOPPAGES
