TRAVEL ADVISORY:
EVENING SINGLE LANE TRAFFIC PATTERNS
PA TURNPIKE'S DELAWARE RIVER BRIDGE (EXIT 30)

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists beginning Tuesday evening, June 2nd through the end of November, that periodic single lane closures can be expected evenings between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. on the Delaware River Bridge (Exit 30) connecting the Pennsylvania Turnpike with the New Jersey Turnpike.

Contractors will be working on redecking and rehabilitation of the 43-year old bridge. This is the second phase of a $17 million dollar project to rehabilitate the Pennsylvania portion of the bridge. The second phase is expected to be completed by August 2000.

DURING CONSTRUCTION, THE TURNPIKE WILL MAINTAIN TWO LANES OF TRAFFIC BOTH EAST AND WESTBOUND DURING PEAK TRAFFIC HOURS, AND ON HOLIDAYS.
