 TRAFFIC ADVISORY:
PERIODIC LANE CLOSURES AT MID-COUNTY AND NORRISTOWN INTERCHANGES

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising customers in the Philadelphia region over the next several weeks, that periodic lane closures may occur at the Mid-County and Norristown Interchanges for the purpose of installing equipment for electronic toll collection (E-ZPass).

Contractors will be cutting into existing concrete and pouring new concrete at the toll collection islands to install conduit and foundations for gantries that will support E-ZPass (electronic toll) signs and antennas.

Motorists using the Mid-County (25A) and Norristown (25) Interchanges can expect some lane closures while this work is being done. However, most of the work will take place during off peak traffic hours.
