TRAFFIC ADVISORY:
BRIDGE CARRYING STATE ROUTE 819 OVER PA TURNPIKE
AT MILEPOST 79 IN MOUNT PLEASANT TO BE CLOSED MARCH 8, 1999

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is alerting motorists that the bridge carrying SR 819 traffic over the Pennsylvania Turnpike at milepost 79 in Mount Pleasant Township, Westmoreland County will be closed for construction beginning Monday, March 8 through the end of 1999.

Traffic will be detoured over SR 981, SR 119 and SR 2021 (Depot Street).

The two-span steel bridge will be removed and replaced with a single span, steel girder bridge.

Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and to take needed precautions for their travels in this area. Motorists are also urged to use caution in this and all construction areas and remember to give Pennsylvania Turnpike Highway Workers a "brake".
