PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE COMMISSION OFFERS
CONDOLENCES TO FAMILIES OF BUS CRASH VICTIMS

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission wishes to extend its deepest sympathies to the families and friends of the seven individuals killed during a tragic bus accident on the Turnpike early Saturday morning.

"Our foremost concern is always for the safety of those travelling on the Turnpike," said Turnpike Executive Director John T. Durbin. "We are deeply saddened at the loss of life and at the injuries which resulted from this accident. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the families and friends of those who died and we’re hoping for a speedy recovery for those who suffered injuries."

Durbin said the Turnpike Commission is cooperating fully with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) and Greyhound bus lines in their investigations into the accident. "While nothing can make up for the losses which were suffered Saturday morning, we’re hoping that these investigations will provide some answers as to why this tragedy occurred," Durbin concluded.
