PA TURNPIKE PUBLIC MEETING TO PRESENT DETAILED
ALTERNATIVES FOR PA TURNPIKE/I-95 INTERCHANGE

PHILADELPHIA, PA - - The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission will hold a public meeting to display detailed alternatives for the proposed Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-95 Interchange, toll plaza, highway widening, and Delaware River Bridge in Lower Bucks County, PA.

The open house meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 16,1998, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Harry S. Truman Senior High School, Green Lane and Mill Creek Road in Levittown, PA.

At the meeting, attendees will be able to view a video which will provide a general overview of the entire project. In addition, large display boards will clearly illustrate the alternatives, and their respective impacts on the area.

Representatives from the Turnpike Commission, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, as well as KCI Technologies, Inc., will be available to answer questions.

The detailed alternatives were developed through a cooperative effort between the project team, transportation and environmental resource agencies, and the public. Continuing public input is critical as each alternative has different community, environmental, and cost impacts on the project area. "We want to keep the communities in the area informed on our progress and address their concerns as we move forward," said Project Manager Jeff Davis. Residents in the project area, Lower Bucks County, PA and Burlington County, NJ, are strongly encouraged to attend.

The public meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities. To make special arrangements, or for more information about the June 16 meeting or the Pennsylvania Turnpike/Interstate 95 Interchange Project, please contact KCI Technologies, (the local project office) in Bensalem, PA, at (215)244-4444. Persons unable to attend the public meeting are invited to call KCI Technologies to arrange a time to visit the local project office and review information presented at the meeting.
