TRAFFIC STOPPAGES IN BEDFORD COUNTY

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists of possible delays due to intermittent he Pennsylvania Turnpike traffic stoppages in Bedford County between the Somerset (Exit #10) and Bedford (Exit #11) Interchanges at mileposts 142.3 on Tuesday, March 31, 1998.

All lanes of traffic, east and westbound will be subject to stoppages between 8:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. Each stop will last no longer than 15 minutes.

Traffic must be stopped to remove large trees along the slopes of the roadway as part of the rehabilitation project between mileposts 142 and 148.

Motorists are urged to use caution in this and all construction areas, and remember to give Pennsylvania Turnpike highway workers a "brake."
