TRAFFIC STOPPAGES IN BEDFORD COUNTY (UPDATE)

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists of possible delays due to intermittent traffic stoppages in Bedford County between Somerset (Exit 10) and Bedford (Exit 11) Interchanges for the week of February 16, 1998.

Weather permitting, east and westbound traffic along the Pennsylvania Turnpike between mileposts 133 and 137 will be subject to intermittent traffic stoppages on the following days: Tuesday, February 17, Wednesday, February 18 and Thursday, February 19, 1998. Each stop will not exceed 15 minutes in length and will be confined to the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. on all days.

Traffic must be stopped for the removal of two bridges that run over the Pennsylvania Turnpike at mileposts 133 and 136.9. Motorists using the Pennsylvania Turnpike on any of these days should anticipate traffic delays, are advised to watch for variable message signs and urged to use caution in this and all construction areas.
