TRAFFIC ADVISORY
TRAFFIC TO BE STOPPED IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY
Harrisburg, PA - The
Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is advising motorists of
intermittent traffic stoppages at milepost 69.15 on the
Pennsylvania Turnpike between the Irwin (Exit 7) and New Stanton
(Exit 8) Interchanges on Thursday, June 12, 1997, weather
permitting. Both east and westbound traffic will be subject to
the intermittent stoppages between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and
2:00 P.M. Each stop will last no longer than 15 minutes in
duration.
The stoppages are necessary for
the erection of steel girders for the bridge running over the
Turnpike at milepost 69.15.Motorists should expect delays in
traffic, both east and westbound and are advised to watch for
variable message signs cautioning motorists.
MOTORISTS ARE URGED TO USE CAUTION IN THIS AREA AND
REMEMBER TO GIVE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE HIGHWAY WORKERS A
"BRAKE".
