PENNSYLVANIA-MADE CRAFTS CENTER TO BE DEDICATED

PHILADELPHIA -- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission today announced that the new Pennsylvania-Made Crafts Center located at the North Neshaminy Service Plaza, milepost 353 westbound, will be dedicated at a ribbon cutting ceremony, September 25th at 11:00 A.M.
Turnpike Executive Director John Durbin said, "The Commission is always striving to serve Turnpike travelers in new and creative ways. The opening of the Turnpike's crafts centers is just another way we are achieving our goal."
Attending the North Neshaminy event will be the Turnpike's Assistant Deputy Executive Director of Marketing, Deborah J. Eckert, and Alice Eakin, President of Pennsylvania-Made Crafts, Inc.
The organization worked closely with the Commission to select the crafts of some of Pennsylvania's finest artists and craftspersons that will be available for Turnpike travelers to see and purchase.
The other crafts center/travel information center, located at the Zelienople Service Plaza in Western Pennsylvania, was dedicated on Tuesday, September 24th.
The Pennsylvania-Made Crafts Centers are open from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Sundays, Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and from 8:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The crafts centers are closed on Wednesdays.
